A good hike always clears my head. It is my "me time"; the time that I use to check all of my systems and recalibrate as necessary. As I hiked the other day, I had an amazing moment of clarity. I had one of those moments when everything was perfectly clear. A moment when I knew where I was in my life and knew I was supposed to be there. My sense of purpose was clear, and I knew exactly what I needed to do and how to be better in all aspects of my life. The more I walked, the more I saw the path laid out in front of me. It didn't look easy, but I knew it was the only path for me to take. I was reminded that there would be hills, valleys, and even dense forest. But my head was clear, and it was like I could see the answers in the back of the book. Self-doubt and uncertainty were lurking in the shadows and tried hard to cloud the moment. But neither could; clarity ruled the day. I always carry my journal on my hikes, and I stopped immediately to take the first step to make this moment of clarity a reality; I wrote it all down! Now I just have to find a way to live in that moment all the time.
Have you ever had a moment like I described above---a moment of clarity? A moment when everything is clear? A moment of revelation, when you not only know where you are going but you know how you are going to get there? A moment when self-doubt, confusion, and uncertainty are not allowed? A moment when you see your plan? A moment when the road map is outlined with all the obstacles clearly marked? A moment when you just seem to "get it".
If you have had a moment of clarity, then you understand what I am talking about. If you haven't, well I think you should plan to go on a good hike!
BTW---When you experience your moment of clarity; write it all down!
